By making a donation today, you can help bring clean water to the people of Musey.
The earthquakes in 2015 affected everyone in Musey. Many homes were destroyed and the village water tank was damaged beyond repair.
The community has been working hard to rebuild homes and get their lives back on track.
But replacing the water tank is a priority. Most of the community depend on agriculture for their livelihood. So living without safe water has not only impacted daily life – without water for crops, it has also severely affected their incomes.
The community have already raised over $40,000 towards a seismic-resistant water system that will service all 80 houses in the village, provide water for their fields and supply seven fire hydrants. But they need an estimated $70,000 to be able to complete the project.

With the help of Himalayan Trust supporters, the residents of Lukla village built a clean water system that pipes clean, safe water underground to 200 homes and businesses, benefiting 3000 people.
The system was completed in 2014 and has transformed daily life for the residents. The design of the water system in Musey will be based on the successful Lukla project.
