Nepal has been hit by a second earthquake. The earthquake’s magnitude has been adjusted from 7.1 to 7.4 and is now listed as 7.3, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). The epicentre is thought to be 18km southeast of Kodari, and has been measured at a shallow depth of about 18km. Several deaths have already been reported. There have been a series of aftershocks within an hour since the earthquake struck. Three major landslides have also been reported. No other details yet, though we will let you know as we hear more.
We have now heard that our team, who were traveling around the Solukhumbu, are safe and are currently in Khumjung.
